I was always told that the compound has petroleum based oils is not good for the stitching.

Like the above said...the compound will eat up your stitching. I don't use the other either as I think it just makes a mess.

Bought some of the Caldwell Miracle Juice and it is awesome. I actually can use it on my rough out fenders. It was pricey but worth it and has lasted for years.

PURE! Why compound when the pure is cheap and works? Olive oil works well too.
