	I have my mare at a large equine reproduction facility to be bred to a name brand stallion (7500.00). They bred her one cycle (nothing) then I get a bill where they took her to that stallion facility & left Her there for 3 days for them to bred her. Still non baby. Now I'm paying a "mare management" fee at the 1st place that would include palpations & insemination . Should I be question my bill for being double charged & by being inseminated by someone else that I did not authorize? Did I mention that there is still no baby?

Did you sign a contract with the facility? Did the facility state in the contract that a live birth of 24 hours would be guaranteed? What was stated in the contract?

	Nope. I signed a contract for them to ship semen. (my place picked up the first time). My facility under no authorization from me took my mare to that stallion facility & bred her. Now I get a bill from the stallion for breeding charges. Edited by SGD 2017-04-14 3:11 PM

I don't think they can do that. Bring your contract for the attorney to look over and go from there.

Elite Veteran Posts: 678 Location: Canada	I'd question it. Before jumping to a lawyer make a polite phone call and ask why they took her there. What was the reason behind it. Maybe the mare care is cheaper then another collection and shipping or maybe they thought it would save you money overall. They should have absolutely contacted you but before you get too upset call and find out why. Once you have that information you can better decide how to proceed with the bill. It's very likely this can easily be worked out with a conversation.
