T.H.E. Muscle Mass feeding tips

I have one gelding who is a hard keeper and needs help building muscle especially across his topline. I started him on Muscle Mass with special blends two years ago and loved the results I saw. He went right to the feed bucket and practically licked it clean. I pulled him off it for the winter since I don't ride as much, but then last year when I went to put him back on it I had a hard time getting him to eat it. I did my same routine as usual which was to wet the feed a tiny bit so the powder would stick and he wouldn't be inhaling it while he ate but he still flat out refused or wouldn't finish it despite lots of coaxing. I'm wanting to put him back on it soon but I hate to spend the money if he's not going to eat it. Does anyone have any tips for how to feed Muscle Mass? I love the product and I want to keep using it.

Try a different feed. My daughters extremely finicky mare has been inhaling her Muscle Mass once we changed her grain. She started getting the Nutrena ProForce.

the breather/allergy blends contain some herbs that have strong smells. So sometimes that causes them to try and pick around. If you can get it really wet and mix so it sticks and not all in one spot that often helps. Some add apple sauce, yogurt etc to mask it for a few days until they get used to it. I have really good luck just adding more water usually.

Red is a picky eater too. When I start him back on Muscle Mass, I start with about 1/4 of the scoop. I feed Omolene 200 to him
(basically just enough to mix the Muscle Mass in with
) and I will spray a little water on it to make it "stick" to the feed. And the I slowly increase the amoutn in the scoop until I'm up to a heaping scoop.
And sounds strange, but I always mix it ahead of time
(before I catch him
) so by the time I give it to him after we are done riding it has had time to set. He doesn't like it as much when it's mixed "fresh". Weird, but that's what I have noticed!

I have a question for Wyoming Barrel Racer. I think you are the rep for MM. Would it be possable to make the MM in a horse treat formula. We have our horses on pasture 24/7 365 days a year and they get fed in a feed bunk all together. It would be nice if I could just give the MM with a treat or cookie to the ones that I would like to have it. It is not really possable to seperate them with out being a lot of work.
