What’s your go-to joint supplement for retired barrel and rope horses? Somewhat picky eater. No major injuries I’m aware of. I just notice he is a little stiff probably hocks or stifle areas. Sometimes he trips but not often. He still has plenty of go! He’s 17 being used as my ranch trail horse.
Im thinking of trying tight joints plus or mvp senior flex h/a or maybe a performance blend from the equine edge. I did order silver lining herbs to try first, as I prefer natural or human grade ingredients
What do you guys use?
Actiflex 4,000. It works and it’s easy on the pocket book.

Pentosan I.M. Once a month ! Forget about the feed through. Very little gets into them via the GI tract anyway and even less with an aged horse. Pentosan is about 30.00 a dose so Same or less than a feed through and you know they are getting 100 percent of it. Polyglycan is also an option at 2 doses for around 80.00.
I agree with Flitastic. Do an injectable. Feed thrus are a waste of money IMO.
Bump
I started my horse on Myristol Pro and noticed a difference in 2 weeks... I had never felt a difference before in all the others I tried.

You can always try the small bag. I told my husband when I first tried it, I don't have a pack of smokes a day habit, I don't have a starbucks habit, so I might as well have a joint supplement habit ;)
