Location: Kansas / South Dakota | What's the most off the wall or extreme signs of ulcers (fore &/or hind gut) you've experienced, or noticed going away once you treated for ulcers? |

Location: Illinois | Mine calmly climbed his front feet onto the hood of someones truck parked next to the gate of the arena before a run. He walked up to the gate, stopped, turned to the side, stepped the 5 feet over to the truck & started climbing from the tires up to the hood. Calm as a cucumber about it. Other times he'd just stop and stand like a statue. The calmness about it was just weird, no other signs at all. My old normally fairly crabby gelding just gets crabbier towards the other horses. I've never had one do the standard signs like weight drop, grouchiness, cinchy, haircoat issues, performance issues. My gelding still got fat on air and went in and worked the same after you got past the statue issue at the gate. Rode fine at home. If you think yours might have ulcers and is doing something weird give them maalox for a few days, like 60cc. It'll coat the gut & if the behavior stops then theres your indicator. Its a cheap test. I assume you can still at least find that at the stores right now lol |

Location: IL | My mare showed no other signs or symptoms except suddenly she started setting back when tied. She would be standing perfectly quiet and all of a sudden set back and then blow up. We are talking throwing her body around and climbing the trailer fenders blowing up. Treated for ulcers and now she stands tied for hours no problem for the past year. |

Hmm.. she pulled back out of nowhere, or was it provoked in any way? The one I'm concerned about half heartedly pulls back when we throw a saddle on her (once it's on her, she stands fine) or when we spray fly spray, detangler, etc. |

Interesting. Did it heal on its own or what did you do for it? |
