This is a horrific loss.   I can't imagine lossing any horses.  Â
Were none of the horses nor the barn insured? I can't imagine having horses of this caliber and not having them insured to protect your losses.  And the same with the barn.    While it is nice of everyone to offer a hand when in need, I have an issue with giving people money when they could have protected themselves with an insurance policy. Insurance does cost money, but there seemed to be no shortage of money when it came time for them to purchase all of these horses.  If they were insured, what does this money go towards?     I know I will get a lot of kick back for posting this, but it's something that I feel needs to be said.
What a selfish horrible thing to say. Whether they NEED the money or not has nothing to do with it. These people obviously loved their horses and are absolutly heart broken and you have the gall to say something like this?
I hope you NEVER have to endure a tragedy as this.
When I was overseas and my stallion hurt himself BHW was there to help me.
I only hope they show you the same compassion if you ever need it.
For the family who lost them many hugs. So very soory for this loss.

I witnessed this horrific event and let me tell you, it's most certainly NOT about money!!! These were their children and they are devastated. They need many, many prayers at this time.

I believe everyone needs help every now and then. With or without insurance. I sent money on their Facebook account that was set up for them. Something that I think was called fund it.com. Many prayers

Having had a barn fire and finding out the hard way how insurance companies really work is a kick in the a$$. Trust me, these folks will appreciate the help.
