What would you recommend the best bit would be to get a hold of a horses nose for more flex and turn?

Just a hackamore.

O ring combo from hack. Then short shank combo for more, then med.. Ect. IMO if you get to a long shank combo and you don't have enough evaluate your situation.

I really like a rope nose ring combo to help in turns for a horse that has a lot of rate but wants to get stiff through the neck and shoulders and elevate his nose away from the bit.

The Hodges Futurity is nice is you need more than the o-ring rope nose.

I like the sweet six bit. It has a lot of bend & flex. I use it all the time for training and competition.
