Ok my gelding is a super easy keeper but is missing something. Won't use platinum for him because he gets HOT. Does not need a lot of fat but hair is not as shiney and coat is not as good as it should be. He's on grass/alfalfa but not a huge portions. Ridden moderately hard.

Is he out during the day? Do you hose him off after a workout? Sweat will dull a coat, so does harsh shampoos, I hose off sweat after a workout, only shampoo every so often, shampoo strips those natural oils from their coats, also lots of elbow grease to distribute oils, and he gets flax seed oil. It Makes him super shinny!

We love FORCO and have seen great results with every horse we have used it on.. Which is now all 9 horses we own. (We use it on our dogs too!)

I feed Purina Strategy & love it. Along with grass during the day and a little hay at night. It has everything my horse needs so I don't add any supplements. I mix some oats with it before a race for an extra boost, but if your horse gets hot you probably don't need the oats :)

Omegahorseshine or tractor supply's version dumor ultrashine ...they are basically the same the tractor supply's version is about 10 bucks a bag cheaper...I feed 1/2 to 1 cup size measuring cup top dressed on their feed (I feed nutrena plus they all get alfalfa and coastal hay ) depending on the horse they just getbthe supplement once a day...a bag lasts a long time even with my herd...its a vitamin/mineral/flaxseed/ricebran supplement and it does amazing things for coat, mane n tail growth, and hooves....i swear by the stuff.

I would suggets trying some THE Muscle Mass.  I have never had it add any energy to any of my horses. It's a complete supplement so you won't have to add anything else. Has electrolytes in there too.
