I have an 11 yr old gelding that I am just now starting to haul. Up until this point he has been a trail horse that I started training on the pattern. He clicks in his hocks. I have tried Aniflex with no change in the noise. My shoer was out and told me that it was just air in his joints.... The noise isn't going away tho. He shows no sign of soundness issues. What can I do to help him? I am really impressed with how he is starting to run the pattern and want to do whatever I can to keep him sound and running.
Thanks for your advice in advance!

My 16 yo used to click in his knees. I put him on Majesty Waffers with HA and it has done wonders. I started him on 2 waffers a day, now do 1 as maintenance. He won't eat them so I crumble them on his feed. But he doesnt click any more. And it's $55 for 60
(2months
). I order off Valley Vet. Best thing for the price. My budget can't afford the expensive stuff, but I'm not disappointed with it. I would love to give him 2 a day but again, gotta budget.

It is kind of like popping your knuckles or whatever joint you have...it doesn't hurt anything, it just makes a noise. My old mare's back legs clicked, and it made a lot of noise, but never had a soundness issue in her back legs.

Thank you everyone! I will try the wafers and see if they help. I just don't like the noise....

I have been wondering about this for a while, just when I am warming up my gelding I hear clicking in the back. It drives me crazy! Glad to know others have the same situation
