Does anyone know how much Novobrace injections cost? Or has anyone done a Novobrace treatment on their horse for a tendon or ligament issue?

I'm about to try it. I posted about my gelding with a DDFT tear getting it done. My vet is inquiring about cost now. I will let you know as soon as he tells me (:

I just spoke with the vet that is the "go to vet" for info on it yesterday. I got his info from the NOVOBRACE website. You can go to the website and make a call. He was extremely helpful. Answered all my questions, told me about the process from start to finish. Ball parked me a price at his clinic at 1700.00. If you are thinking about going this route, please take the time to call them. You will be glad you did.

I looked at their website and I am super interested in it, I sent them an email with questions. I noticed they have a $1000 rebate going on right now, but it goes to the vet so I wasn't quite sure how that worked. I also have an injury that didn't just happen but I just found out about it in mid October, so I was wondering about the efficacy of the product on an older injury that was still in the healing process.

Yeah, I am not sure how that rebate thing works either but you are right, that would go to the vet. I am assuming if they order a certain amount of the product they would get the rebate, thus their costs for the product would be cheaper. Not sure if they would trickle that down to their clients. I am fairly certain I am going to find a way to do this. The injury to my horse is an older one we believe, from his racing days. It just showed back up when I started patterning him. He would seem to tweak it and have a slight limp, then walk it out and be fine. I did the PRP, then stumbled across the NOVOBRACE. I told the vet I spoke to yesterday that mine was a suspected older injury (chronic) and he told me they have had excellent responses to just those type injuries. My guy is doing fine right now after the PRP but I was thinking this might just be an added support system for it.

edited: He also told me the internal brace, created by the injected gel, lasts about 3 to 4 years.

We used it. Horse tore his ddft. It is now healed. I would recommend it! We didn't inject until four months after the initial injury. Leg is thicker than the uninjured leg, but it's healed nicely.
