I like three piece smooth or twisted with copper inlay.
I have found with reinsman twist copper inlay, the copper isn't actually inlaid, and broke down within months I had to stop using it.
My favourite bit maker for any bit is Dave Elliott. I had one snaffle from him used if for 8 yrs no rough points, then sold the horse, so the bit went with the horse.

I've used several different ones and the horses really like this one, it has a great feel.

I really like my Sherry Cervi D-ring snaffle. I also like a nice O-ring with a mouthpiece that is broken twice to it lays in their mouth better.

Love my Flaharty square. Need to get a small twist
On a new colt, I use an Ed Wright smooth. That only lasts a couple months, then into a Loomis. But my square and twist I'll use on my finished horses.
