Hey there, I was wondering if any of you all know of anyone in the Northern WV/ Southern PA area that needs horses ridden or would even give barrel lessons? I had to sell my horses and am in my last year of college and never got the experience I wanted barrel racing as I had only got to really practice/race one year. I go to WVU so anyone close to Morgantown, WV would be best. I'll be up here working all summer and living here. I know that there are shows in Blacksville, WV and in Waynesburg, PA. I'd even be open to someone who has cutting horses as I have had training on them as well. I'm about to pull my hair out having zero horsey contact or riding....thanks!!

I bought a horse from Marshall  Arrington in WV.  He seemed like a nice guy may want to look him up on facebook and see if he needs anyone or gives lessons....

Look up the WVU farm in Reedsville.  Not sure what all they do there, but that may be an option.  There is a two day IBRA show at Blacksville this weekend.  Maybe you could go and meet some people and see who might need help.  Introduce yourself to the show producers and maybe see if they could use help with barrel setting, etc.  Nice group of people and you could probably make the contacts you will need.

Good luck!

Thank you guys! I'll definitely look into them. I'd love to get over to those horse shows soon, just being around them makes me 100 times happier!!

Bump! I'm definitely going to go to a show very soon but probably can't this weekend due to going to a graduation I have to go to, etc. Unfortunately Arrington is a little far from Morgantown, WV but thank you for the suggestions!

Porchview Arena in Acme, PA (about an hour northeast of you) has barrel races. Might be a good place to network!
