My Heart Be Happy Posts: 9159 Location: Arkansas	I have a 15 year old former barrel mare that is showing signs of soreness in her back legs. Farrier said she's very sore, but I don't know where. I know nothing at all about injections or the medicines I've heard y'all talk about on here. She is strictly ridden for pleasure, and not too much of that right now. I know a good lameness vet is gonna be what y'all tell me first--I'm in southeast AR, so does anyone have suggestions. I've heard Batesville, AR and Shreveport, LA. . . Just need some help as to where to start. Thanks

Think this is the one I'd heard was in Shreveport. . . It doesn't matter, because she's gonna get the treatment/check up she needs, but is there a rough estimate as to what the vet fees may start at for the exam? And thank y'all for responding.

Own It and Move On Location: The edge of no where	Depending on where you go...vets here are usually about $45 for an exam.

Accident Prone Posts: 22277 Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR	I would start with Dr Tilley. When I've used him, I met him at someone's barn so it wasn't a bad drive. He's an "in the box" type, but a good vet.
