Location: Texas | Is 4H strictly horse shows or do they have barrel races/rodeos/ropings (team roping, breakaway)???

Location: East Texas | I know they have speed and other horse events. We have not been because the dates conflicted with other events we had going. |

| They have barrels, poles, and working cow horse, or at least they did when I was going. |

| In our state they have barrels, poles, flag racing, Breakaway, Tie Down, Team Roping, and I believe they are adding working cow horse. |

| Here in Utah our 4H has speed events including Barrels, Poles, Keyhole, Flag race, and horsemanship classes such as: Halter, Western Pleasure, and Reining. No events involving stock of any kind. |

Location: Sweet Home Alabama | It's been 5 years since I was in 4H, but when I was in it, there wasn't really any shows other than the annual state show to qualify for regionals. Our county 4H held clinics and that was pretty much the extent of the riding (other than drill team practice/competitions which was nearly every weekend). We mostly did community service type stuff. Anyway, we never had roping or goat tying at the state show. Was strictly barrels, poles, stake race, arena race, and the slow events. |
