Miss Laundry Misshap Posts: 5271	What are the pros and cons of running a 4yo Futurity horse vs waiting until they are 5yo? I know there is sometimes a big maturity gap from a 4yo and 5yo, usually. I know that sometimes their mind can't handle it. But other than that, are there benefits or major downfalls to going when they are 4?

Not sure why this is dumb? I tend to agree that at 5, a horse is more solid. I'll debate on the 4yo or 5yo thing awhile longer. Just depends on where I can get the mare her 2 and 3yo years. That will determine a lot.
