Have a jittery horse and due to my fault of not handling him enough he's gotten antsy and impatient while tied.My old place I had a stout tree to tie to.Here at our new place I don't have any trees that I can tie to.So needing to build something. Any suggestions?

How handy are you?

We just made 2 hitching rails from 6" pipe, but we have all the goodies to cut, weld, and an auger to dig holes...

Have a handy husband Not sure if he's got time to weld oneI can get stout posts from TSCWas thinking to set a large 10"-12" in concreteAnd then a wall in front or behind it to prevent him from pacing as much. Not sure what to use to tie to, a lag bolt through the top at above eye level or tie directly to postThought some of y'all may have better ideas

You can make a pole very easily and cheap ..

Match 2 pipe sizes that fit inside each other firmly ..
but will rotate easily

Cut a 2 inch ring off of the larger pipe to weld on smaller diameter
pipe .. use a diamond bladed saw for smooth cut

Concrete larger pipe deep into the ground ...
and 7-8 ft high

Smaller diameter pipe cut into 2 pieces ...

One piece 3 ft long
weld at the top edge of the 2 inch ring from large pipe
2 inches from one end of this smaller pipe
(this is going to act as a bearing)

one piece 2 ft long
now weld this one equally across the end of
pipe with the ring on it .. and blow holes
in ends for a chain or lead rope to fit in
This piece of pipe should look like a "T"

Hook lead ropes or chain to hook lead ropes to thru the holes ..

Slide small pipe into large pipe
you are finished ..
This pole should look now look like a T ..
with two lead ropes hanging down

You now have you a good solid pole for $50 cost of material
Build two and sell one for $150 ..

It is designed for two horses ..
if you put a panel or 5 ft pipe each side of pole
to keep one horse on one side
and horse 2 on the other side ..

Use an empty paper towel spool for main pole
2 toilet paper spools taped together to form a T
now stick T into top of paper towel holder .
Now go build the pipe pole ... ....
