Friend of mine is looking for a light weight, but high quality saddle to fit a typical cow bred quarter horse (big shoulders, slightly downhill). She had to have her rotator cuff repaired a few months ago, and is still finding it hard/painful to lift her heavy Bob's up on to her horse. I am trying to help her look (she's not super internet savvy), but I am at a loss of what would fit her quality standards (similar to a Bobs), but is also going to be lightweight. Any suggestions?

I don't know what style she is looking for, and I don't think she is going to be really picky. She is hoping that this will just be temporarily until her shoulder gets stronger. However, I do know that she is very picky about the actual quality of the saddle. Probably looking for under 30 pounds.

I had to get a light weight saddle because I am recovering from surgery also. I bought a Bob Marshall treeless.

I have three Billy Cook saddles that I ride in at home because they are so light. Be sure that you get the Sulfur OK saddles. They are nice saddles and weigh about 22-25 pounds. The CJ tree may be a little lighter but I have a Buster Welch that is also very light and very comfortable.
