Extreme Veteran Posts: 408	I have my boys on previcox (I know it is for dogs but my vet recommended it for my horses as well). Any of you use nutri vet instead of previcox?

It Goes On Posts: 2262 Location: Muskogee, OK	Previcox is a NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory), in a similar drug class to Bute and Banamine. I am not familiar with nutri-vet, but Dr. google seems to think it is a joint supplement for dogs containing things like glucosamine, chrondroitin and MSM. If this is the case, then no, it is not going to be at all comparable with Previcox. Also, the concentration of those things in the small chewables are going to be nowhere near the dose you would need for a horse.
