Location: Northern Ontario | So after reading the reviews on the martins, I am thinking a pozzi might be better. Anyway, how do they ride? Like the positition they put you in is comparable to what? I have owned a double j lynn McKenzie and an older CJ cactus and I like the way both of them seat me, but I need something a little deeper too. How do they fit the horse....my lm was hard to fit :( I live in a very rural non horsey area so its hard for me to try saddles. O am riding in a caldwell today though |

| I just recently bought a pozzi for my hard to fit horse, and I love everything about it! The fenders allow me to move my feet so I can keep my legs under me and I can stay balanced, and the seat is pretty deep but I can still get up and out, and the pommel is positioned just right to where I won't impale myself on the horn. It allows me to ride correctly and comfortably, I've noticed how much my form has improved since I purchased it.
The horse it fits rides in a medium tree, and has some slope to her back and decently wide shoulders. Shes not completely flat backed, but also not super wide. Not sure of what saddle it compares to, but it is very compatible with the shape of my horses back and her running style as well. |

Location: Southern Indiana | I was going to suggest a Pozzi, but you seemed set on a Martin. I actually rode in a CJ before. I also had a Lynn but sold it due to it not fitting. I do agree they are hard to fit. Personally I feel like the pozzi's fit most horses. Except my racey narrow backed horse....the Pro fits him much better. The pozzi wasn't bad but it was just too wide on him (even the standard).
The Pozzi is going to have a narrower ground seat than the lynn or a CJ. The cantle is higher and comes up behind you. You pretty much sit in the middle of the seat feet hang straight below you. The swells have a nice rise to them but they don't interfere. |

Location: Northern Ontario | So size wise, are the seats made small because they are so deep? My CJ cactus is a 15" and too roomy, but then a 14" is too tight in a billycook, but I fit in a 14" Caldwell. I hate saddle shopping! |

I feel like mine run a little big. I would order a half size smaller if I were to order a new one. |

I'm the opposite. I feel like they are probably pretty true. I ride in a 14" pozzi. I actually started out in a 15'' pozzi because when I ordered it all my saddles were 14.5 or 15 and I didn't want it to be too small lol After that I realized everything I ever rode in was too big! Now its either a 13.5 or 14" for me. My CJ was a 14.5 and it was too big. I've sat in a 13.5' caldwell and it fit pretty good. I am 5'6 140 lbs for reference.
I feel like alot of people order them a little too small. I sat in a 13" hard seat and it looked like it would work on the stand and when I rode in it I was like oh heck no. lol No wonder people feel thrown forward. |

Location: Tex. Panhandle | I agree. I've actually been able to change over to a 13" seat in both my pozzi's. I used to ride in 14's in college. I wont ride in anything else! |
