A large part will depend on the mouthpiece you get. I love the cervi bits. I have 2 dog bone mouthpieces in the short shank.  I like the fact they are weighted and the way they fit my hands. Had a pro gal tell me at a clinic; You buy bits to fit your hands, not the horses mouth.
Almost everything I have is a 3 piece mouth piece with a bog bone. That mouthpiece fits how I ride, from a sweet 6, short shank, simplicity or a combo bit. There is no much in my trailer (minus an o ring or 2) that does not have a dog bone mouth piece in it. Everything we get in from colts to finished horses will be put in 1 of those bits. They fit how I ride. I love the cervi bits. That are my go to bit. I prefer the short shank but have use a long shank a time or 2. You have a faster reaction with the short shank bit

I have one and find it too much bit for my likings. I don’t know if it’s the weight or what but I feel like it’s unforgiving. I ride with light hands....

I love my Cervi bits, they are my go to bits as well. I ride/race in the short shank dogbone.

I definitely prefer this bit also. Lots of horses seem to work well in it. My gelding didn't like the weight of it at first but now it is all I run him in. One of the bits I would never sell.

i ride with very light hands as well and feel that I am able to make very small movements  with the reins and get an immediate reaction vs other bits. Def think it is a preceived notion of how the bit "feels" to the rider as to whether we feel/think that the horse likes it. I know of some bits that people swear by that I have rode in and it immediately does NOT feel right.

One of my favorite bits in my collection. I use the short shank with a dog bone and im able to ride it on pretty much anything.
