Does anyone in Barrel Horse Land use a streaming service and device? If so which one and pro's & con's. I'm tired of the high price of Directv!!! It just seems to go up and up!!! Thanks

We currently have a smart TV but before that I've used both Roku and Firestick. All have been connected through our local internet provider and worked well for us!

Is it possible to record shows using those devices, so you can pause and rewind??

We have Sling Tv, along with Hulu, Netflix, and Prime and we still come out cheaper than we did with Direct Tv. We started with a Roku stick but have upgraded all of tv's to smart tv's slowly. I know for an extra $5 a month Sling does offer a Cloud-based service to watch your shows on demand and I "think" it has the option to fast forward and rewind

We have PlayStation vue through the roku. It’s not as user friendly as direct tv as you have to scroll through all the channels instead of just typing in the number. You can dvr too. I’ve noticed that it goes out a lot more than the direct did but it’s a fraction of the price.

Thanks everyone I have decided to go with Directv Now they offer a free Roku stick when you sign up. I also got a Roku Ultra on black friday for half price for our other tv.  The crazy thing is I'm getting more channels on Directv Now for half the price. The only bad thing is you don't get that much DVR only 20 hours. The awesome thing about the whole streaming thing is all the apps you can watch like the Wrangler network. I would assume there are so many more out there I just don't know about them.
