I had one made. No the seat wasn't too small. Seemed fine when exercising the horses. When I went to run in it it threw me forward. I ended up selling to saddle.
Did it have forward hung stirrups?
Check that your stirrup leathers haven't been "untethered." Shiloh's are usually built with anchored leathers that keep your feet from going too far back.
PS, best saddles made. :D
I believe it did. Maybe I'm just a weirdo. Hahaha
I agree. Love their saddles. They are going to fit two of my horses next week. Just not going for the Briggs this time.
Very often it is because your seat is too small. The seat is not what holds you in. It is your weight in the stirrups that keeps you in. If your seat is too small you can't get your feet in front of you.
I bought one several years ago brand new. Was not comfortable in the seat and sold it but the new owner loved it. Everyone likes something different. I bought a Martha Josey NBHA years ago and liked everything about it. So bought one with the forward hung stirrups and wow talk about a saddle that throws you forward. So glad I still had my old one when I sold that one.
Ive ridden the Shiloh Contender and I feel the same way. I have a Tod Slone custom that is way more secure to me. My daughter rides a contender and LOVES it so..............
