I watched Dukes of Hazard last night and even though there wasn't a PSA regarding the Covid vaccine, I felt the urget to get it anyway.

What does "wokeness" mean?

I was going to ask the same thing.  I hear the term all the time but have no idea what it means.

Wokeness- A state of being aware,especially of social problems such as Racism and inequality. 

U.S Slang, such as wised up.

In this situation with NASCAR and CM, woke is used as an insult and refers to going the same direction as other professional sports, entertainers/entertainment have gone.  Bowing to a certain culture, injecting politics, and social issues.  By doing so they have lost viewers, followers.  Regardless, running a PSA during NASCAR or CMT, etc. will not reach the volume of "white" conservatives their closed minds think it will.  It was insulting to think they could.
