	I know there are a lot of threads on BOT/PHT but none of them have answered my questions so here goes. So I have seen many descriptions of back on track products, and PHT products. I recognize they're two different things. I keep reading "I love my PHT 3n1s" or "I love the results of my BOT blanket" etc. BUT What are these "Results" you are seeing? What made you want these products in the first place? Did your horse have some sort of injury or what? I have been very curious about these products, but I have never seen a clear problem statement and results statement defined anywhere I have looked. (I apologize, I am an engineering student and very stubborn and I need to be thoroughly convinced) I have a 13 year old who gets regular hock injections and an annual shoulder injection (yeah i know its odd). And my just turned 6 year old is getting her hocks injected for the first time tomorrow. I feel like that's way young to have that kind of hock pain. So would these products help? I know that's a lot of questions/issues but I'm hoping someone can ease my brain and convince me! [BTW my friend lent me her PHT blanket to try to see if it helps, but I'm not sure what kind of results I'm looking for, or when to use it. LOL]

Member Posts: 5	I can't vouch for the magnetics, but I have been using BOT hock boots for about a month on my 13 y.o. barrel gelding. He has to be injected atleast once a year, sometimes twice depending on how much I run him. The BOT boots use ceramic particles to create a type of heat therapy that increases circulation and helps with healing and inflammation. My gelding "Dusty" feels great since I have started using them. He is way looser than usual and is turning way better. I can also tell a big difference when I'm not riding him. He used to just walk around and act really lazy in the pasture, but now when I turn him out he takes off running and bucking. I can tell that he just feels way better. None of these therapy treatments will replace getting a horse injected, because when you inject a horse you are usually injecting HA and steroids to help with joint lubrication. Neither BOT or magnetic therapy will replace that, but it can make the time between injections longer. Dusty was injected in February of last year, and when I had his hocks checked Saturday, he wasn't sore at all. I am very impressed with how much BOT has helped him.

Veteran Posts: 264	My gelding is one of those on the muscle nervous barrel horses when we travel. He gets himself so bunched up and tense that the next day his muscles are tight and hard as a rock. He is often sore and it takes a good hour of massage to get him to loosen up and relax. I went ahead and purchased the BOT sheet and now I am hooked for life. He is a whole different horse after races. He isn't tight or muscle sore. I wish he could live in his sheet 24/7 but unfortunately our 110 + heat keeps him out of it.
