First off - CONGRATS and keep it up!!

If I have time, I like to plan my lunches out during the weekend - this doesn't always happen.

I love leftovers for lunches. I like to pack my lunch when I'm cleaning up supper items. It gives me time to think about portion size and removes the stress of "OMG what am I gonna eat" during the morning rush.

If there are no leftovers, I like to pack salad and a tuna packet to dump on top. These are yummy and come in several different "flavors". I seriously used to loathe tuna until I tried them. I'm an apple lover so those get chucked in the lunch bag along with string cheese too. Think low fat, high protein type things. Afternoon energy is great from apples, a pack of peanut butter crackers, or there are handy 100 calorie packs of nuts now too! I also will make lil packs of bulk nuts and chocolate chips b/c well ... I LOVE me some sweet and salty stuff!

I also pre-pack and dish out my breakfast since I am NOT a morning person. I am in love with vanilla Greek Yogurt - look for the low fat/low sugar kind - it has way more protein than regular yogurt. I chop up fruit and dump that on it too. I make my own granola to help cut the sugar and add that in the morning for crunch. I am also a fan of toast with peanut butter and bananas - quick, easy, super healthy.

I work out a minimum of 5 days a week - not including riding. This usually includes a couple of interval miles on the elliptical or tredmill and always weights of some kind. Start slow ( and with a trainer if possible) with the weight, but remember that muscle burns more calories than fat while at rest ... so LIFT! A good beginner series for including weights at home is the Jillian Michaels workout dvds - I think you can find some of those workouts on Youtube too!

Good Luck and Don't give up!!

I drink a shake in the morning..... Atkins taste the best. Then I usually bring left over for lunch. Thats usually my biggest meal for the day. Then I eat whatever my husband makes for dinner. I watch what I eat with dinner. As far as exercise..... I started off real slow. I would do 15-20 crunchies while my shower warms up. It takes less then 5 mins to do. After about 3 weeks of 15-20 I would add 10 more each week till I got up to 80. I would exercise every night. It seems like if you start with an extreme diet and exercise then you wont stick to it. Take baby steps on everything...... in the long run you will feel better and not guilty if you skip a day on exercise or decide to eat something special for dinner.

Love the Ace! No shakes or special diet or exercise! It just makes you less hungry! Have kept my 22 off and hubby's 45 for a year now. Can't beat it for $1/day/ pill. We just weren't in a lifestyle where we could have access to special food or trying to make shakes. I'm a huge believer in it and I'm an experienced RN!

Well first, congrats on your 30lbs,

When I first wake up I have a protein shake, then breakfast is after my workout: 4 fried eggs(in coconut oil) & turkey bacon OR gluten free oatmeal(topped with raisins, cinnamon and honey) & 2 poached eggs OR protein pancake (1 softer banana, 1 scoop protein powder, 1/2 c GF oatmeal)
I tend to graze between breakfast and supper.....veggies, protein sources (eggs, chicken, almonds), fruit (mostly bananas & apples). I enjoy lettuce wraps, a basic meat/sweet potato or rice & a vegtable. I only eat pasta maybe once a week as a treat meal.
My workouts are weight training and  interval training.....I would suggest find something you enjoy! Fitness classes are great, just something a simple as walking works for many people, also there are tons of workout DVD's lots of BB's on here have followed, Jillian Micheals ones are great!

Congrats already!!!! You are doing great!

I just started Thrive (been on it for a week) and I feel absolutely amazing. It isn't a weight loss pill, but instead contains nutritional requirements that are not met. It has 2 pills (I only take 1) a shake for breakfast and a patch that is used to absorb vitamins that are not easily ingested internally. Because it is nutritionally satisfying, you are hungry less yet have more energy, therefore people are losing weight.

I used to be borderline addicted to energy drinks, since starting Thrive I have not touched a single one!

Please do not try to do this with pills....you are a new mother and ALL weight loss drugs have terrible risks of side effects and damage to your body.

You've gotten some great suggestions other wise, good luck!

Look into Advocare. It's a Christian based company that helps with weight loss & overall wellness. For breakfast, I make a smoothie from their Meal Replacement Shake & add different fruits (chocolate & banana is the best thing everrr!!!) They give tips & a variety of low carb/low fat foods to eat. You can take multiple vitamins a day & it keeps you from craving junk food, which is a life saver for me. As for a workout routine, I just work 4-5 horses a day
