I have a Scott Thomas Trophy saddle; I'm trying to find out more information on. Is it the same as a Cactus? I did a Google search and it looks like it might be.

On the back it says Scott Thomas Saddlery, Caddo Mills, TX

Any info is appreciated.

Not the same as cactus, but he did work for them at one point. These he made on his own so I was told.

They are nicely made.

I have one I had custom made directly from him. Absolutely love it! Fits me and my mare.

I don't suppose anyone has a contact number for him; I tried the number I found on Google; it said it was no longer in service (903-527-4641)

I had one that was made while he was working at Cactus.  Someone told me he used their extra trees at that time to make trophy saddles, so they weren't all necessarily the same.  I don't know if that's true.  I couldn't ride the saddle because it was too wide in the seat and hurt my hips, but it fit a wide horse really well.  Quality seemed nice enough, just not a fit for me.

From what I understand...he is now working for Reinsman and is the reason Charmayne's saddles are now being made by them.

I won one at the NBHA Colonial Nationals.  I sure wish it had been smaller. The workmanship was great, good quality leather and it fit my mare perfectly.

The only thing I was able to find was dated 2012 and that he was working with Circle Y and was the Performance Product Line Manager.
