Gullet question.

Is there a temporary fix for a gullet that is too small? I am ordering a new saddle, but until then I only have this one to ride in. Is there anything I cn do to make it fit better/more comfortable for my horses?

How thick of a pad are you using now?

Using a half inch pad may help some, but there aren't any tricks that will make your horse comfortable if the saddle is too narrow.

1 inch.
This is not a fix for a to narrow saddle, but i would go with a thiner pad, like a 3/4 or a 1/2 inch for now untill your new saddle gets here.

someone here said something that makes a lot of sense, "You wouldn't put on an extra pair of socks if your shoes were too small, would ya
(in reference to saddle fit
)?"
bareback or a thinner pad.

A 1/2 pad will help some, but your best bet is probably to just ride bareback or lunge him to keep him from getting too fresh.
