Veteran Posts: 289 Location: Northeast SD	Looking at putting my horse on a MSM supplement just for a natural anti-inflammatory. Is there ayone who does this? Pros/Cons? Nothing is wrong with my mare just as a preventative for long weekends of barrel racing.

Elite Veteran Posts: 1092 Location: OK	A lot of people use it because it's cheap but I've also heard that in the oral supplement, the horse actually doesn't get much from it. So I'm not sure. Try it and see if you can notice a difference maybe.

Hungarian Midget Woman Location: Midwest	I feed it. I think it helps. MSM is better absorbed than other joint supplements and it's pretty cheap, so I use it along with other things.

I had to give them my ID to purchase it. Turns out people buy it to stretch meth..... I think it is beneficial for horses and cheap.

I took my horse off and didn't really notice a difference from when the horse was on it to when it was off. So I don't know, maybe it help with preventative stuff.

Expert Posts: 1611	I read somewhere that MSM is hard on the stomach and maybe linked to ulcers because of how it was made something because it was made from DMSO. I dunno if there is any truth to it because I know you can get it 99% pure to where there is a very minute chance it will hurt the stomach but I've avoided it for this reason.

	The Animal Element supplement Equine Performance Detox, has made a huge difference in my horse, and like you nothing was wrong.
