I Love all the Animal Element products so much I became a dealer. In the Zone is great and the ingredients are superior to others in my opinion. it is also great to get horses to drink while hauling or under stress, change or seasons ect. Also the Aloe coats ands soothes the stomach acid. Great used pre performance helps horses focus and recover faster.

I tried it twice on two different horses. Both times it was a waste of money. and made a huge mess. Nobody warned me that the paste is black.

I've been using it for two years. Doesn't calm my mare that much, but she runs harder. The few times I've forgotten to carry it she slacks off going to third barrel and home.

How far in advance before your run do you give it? How long does it take to "kick in"?

I love all the ae products - they have helped my boy a ton- I use in the zone 15cc right before I load in trailer for the stress of ride and 15cc about 1hr before a run does not take any run off but sure helps the focus - we really have much smoother runs- if I stay overnight I use again at night so my boy will stay calm and eat and drink well - he has always been one top go off of feed while away from home but in the zone keeps him settled and eating

I try to give it about 45 minutes out. I saddle up, give her the paste, then wait a bout five minutes before I get on her. I've started giving her 25 to 30 mls,
(20 is recommended at a time
) just because she may spit part of it out. Having it warm makes it harder to spit out and I give it before I put bridle on. There is no kick in time with my mare. I also give omeprazole in a dose syringe when I load her in the trailer going to a show. The combination works really well on her.
