I figured we needed a thread for all the stuff we don't think belongs here... For example....

All of us ... elderly people.... remember an actress named Lucille Ball.... I remember watching 'I Love Lucy' when all we had was a black & white TV.... Those were her most famous works....But.... I never realized just how great an actress she was until I watched a movie named 'Stone Pillow', where she portrays a bag lady in NYC. This was her last acting role before she died. Certainly one of the best movies I ever watched. I found it for free on YouTube in 7 parts... This is the start... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLpYKWocylI Just follow the links....

hodgepodge
noun hodge·podge \'häj-?päjDefinition of HODGEPODGE
: a disorderly mixture

Please... chip in here....

Let me give you another example.... Dr. Zhivago...
I watched the movie on the big screen when it came out in 1965. ( I was 7 years old) This poor man, named Boris Pasternak wrote this book..... and could NOT get it published in the USSR where he lived, so he got it smuggled to Italy... where it WAS published.... and was awarded the 1958 Nobel Prize for Literature... An accomplishment that his government awarded him with a one-way ticket to Siberia.

My point here is.... I can't ORDER or GET this book through Books-A-Million... one of the biggest book retailers in the world.... I wanna know why this is..... I've never read the book and I want to....

The funniest skit I ever saw.... Tim Conway (dentist) and Harvey Corman ( patient)...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wk92O0SEjXc

PS: Watch Harvey try to keep from cracking up!! Tim was noted for improvisation to screw with his fellow actors...

Oh my gosh, I LOVED Tim and Harvey - especially on the Carrol Burnett show - they don't have comedy like that anymore.

I LOVE to watch the reruns of I Love Lucy on Hallmark channel on Sunday mornings. I like to catch the shows before getting ready of church. Timeless comedy.

The Lone Ranger and Tonto were camping in the wilderness. After they got their tent set up, both men fell sound asleep. Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says,"'Kemo Sabe, look towards sky, what you see?"
The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars."
"What that tell you?" asked Tonto.

The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute then says, "Astronomically-speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time-wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Theologically, the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you,Tonto?"

"You dumber than buffalo... It mean someone stole tent."
