Anyone run or know of a Zippo Pine Bar bred barrel horse who's had any success?
How are they to break/train?
TIA
(:

I only know of one and that was a long time ago. The Zippo Pine Bar should be pretty far back in the pedigree that he isn't bringing anything to the party..LOL Always loved that stallions looks. He looked like a barrel horse but produced horses that went slow....real slow and they made jam up pleasure horses.

I like them. Never met one that didn't have a goofy/quirky personality though!

Retired mine at 19 years old. Mine was bred for halter and western pleasure. He's Zippo on top and Impressive on bottom. Looks like a halter horse but can run. He was 2d/3d. Love them. I have another one I'm trying to get seasoned. He is Zippo on top and cow/reiner on bottom. He is a little more sensitive then I care for though. They are very smart and quick learners. They are out there. Zippos are great all around horses.

The fastest horse I have ever swung a leg over was Zippo bred, nice western pleasure horse that could flat out haul. No turn and no rate, but he had the run covered with plenty to spare.

We have a 7 year old son of Radical Rodder who's out of a Zippo bred mare. Not sure how he ended up a roping horse but he sure looks pretty dragging a steer across the pen
Started him on barrels and he sure has a lot of rate and turn but I haven't asked for any speed yet.

I have one. He's handsome. Built like a halter horse but with good bone and feet, beautiful head with soft eyes. Super easy to ride and easy to train. He's versatile and can go from show pen to rodeo ring. He is a 1D rodeo money earner.
He's got a full brother I tried tracking down to buy but his papers were not kept up.
I'd buy another one like him in a heart beat.
