How can I get my mare used to a flash of a camera especially when it comes times to show at arenas that do pictures and stuff.

The flash should not bother your horse.

Never had a horse that was bothered by camera flash. If you are concerned about it, the only way you're going to get you horse "used" to it would be to take her to races that have photographers there.

Buy a strobe light for the barn, if that is truly what is bothering your horse. Otherwise, it really shouldn't bother them.

This^^^ And if your worried about the flash missing with your horses run you can ask the photographer not to take your picture.

I was very worried when I first started hauling to big arenas years ago and can honestly say I have smiled for pictures before. If you train and ride hard then you won't notice and neither will they. My dad joked that I was going to slow if we had time to notice that blink mid turn.

I agree that if the horse is focused on his job, he shouldn't notice. I don't usually even notice the flash and have never really felt my horse react, either. That said, as a photographer, I've often times had people ask me to not take their picture because they're worried their horse will spook.

I had an old, old pony mare who spooked at the flash. She'd just never been exposed I guess. I asked them to just not take a photo when I ran.
