I've read all the reviews on bison trailers but what I find interesting is I've not read anything about the floor. Anyone have any personal experience with horse floor area? Also i do travel so looking for experiences from those that really use their trailers.

The ones Iโ€™ve seen have been wood floor.

I wouldnโ€™t touch one with a 20 ft pole, wood floor aside.

I have owned two bison trailer. I loved them both. First was a small full living quarters 3 horse and the second was 14 ft living quarters with slide. Both of mine had steel frames but I prefer that. Both of them were easy to pull. A lot of things are very similar made to a 4-Star that my father has. A lot better made then Kiefer Built trailers.

However both my trailer were bison stratus. I would NOT buy an alumasport or trail hand.

I edited to add mine trailers were 2006 and 2007 models.. I think that they were better made back then vs the new ones

I honestly would rather own a decent 10 year old Platinum, Elite, 4-Star, or Bloomer than a new Bison.....especially if I hauled a lot.

yes, Thor owns them now & from the sounds of it, have been less than stellar in their customer service

I bought a brand new 2015 Bison Laredo 3 horse with 10 foot living quarters in May of 2015. Itโ€™s all aluminum, the frame and skin. I have had no problems with it. Itโ€™s used every weekend from April- middle of October usually driving anywhere from 1-6 hours a weekend to go race. I have taken it on two 24 hour trips, and at at least 5 trips of 10 hours. Never had any problems with it at all yet. Everything still works great. The aluminum floor is still in good condition under the mats. The Bison was a great option for us because we were able to custom order it. I would buy another one in a heartbeat!

Iโ€™ve got a bison 2015 8ft sw on lq with 3h .. love it..no problems yet.. custom ordered it at NRS with all the bells n whistles in Decatur great people to work with..Iโ€™d buy another. Coach bought bison a few years back and they are not the same trailer they were in years past.. and NRS stands behind them. According to their website theyโ€™re now the nationโ€™s largest manufacturer of horse trailers with living quarters.
