If you are just feeding alfalfa, then a 12:12 mineral of your choice is will work well for you. I've use Purina blocks with the ones I have on free choice alfalfa.

yes, any 12:12 will work. Really anything that has the phos relatively high-7.5+ regardless what the calcium is. We are very low in phos here and have trouble with it if we don't feed a good mineral. I wouldn't touch ADM products with a 10 foot pole due to their lack of regard with the monosin poisoning they were involved in.  Purina 12:12 is our go to.

I just went with Omnis Complete...it has everything they need. Alfalfa, whole oats, flax.
