Never heard of it untill now. I went to their web site to see what it was about and saw that they make medicated cattle feed also so I would not buy feed for horses there. But look on their web site and on all the horse feeds it give you an ideal on how to be feeding.

Are you talking about dried distillers grain?

It’s not a feed company - DDG is short for dried distillers grains. It’s the byproduct after ethanol is removed from the corn. Supposed to be high in protein, low in sugar and starch.

I found it under All American Ranch way feeds in a range pellet for cattle so thought that this was a feed company.. Now looking more into it under DDG and finding alot of research has been done on it and some say good and some not so good.. Need to look more, pretty interesting.

ALl kinds of supplement makers use DDG as flavoring because it tastes really good! I started a post on it a few years ago. All of the adeptus products , tractor supply supplements etc use DDG. It smells awesome and it usually says " Dried Distillers grains with Solubles" . Its not bad, but its not good either. Its a filler/flavor enhancer.

I just found 6 BHW threads about DDG. Just have to google " Dried Distillers Grains Barrel horse world" one thread was 6 pages long..
