| Do you prefer to use pastes such as Wind Aid, OE Wind, Oxy-gen or Flair strips? If pastes, which one do you prefer and have you seen a noticeable change for using either products? |

Location: NC | I prefer flair strips. Ive tried a few different things for my coughing horse and they seem to help the most (he still coughs randomly....long story and when i get extra money hell get scoped). They do help my older horse that my mom runs a ton. He runs harder in flair strips and in one arena has gone from running 16.8s to 16.3/.4 |

| You can't compare them. Flair Strips work by opening the nasal passages and pulling the false nostril open. (Yes, horses have a layer of foreskin in the nasal passage called a false nostril, now go to google to check and come back.) Anyway, no paste in America is strong enough to do the job of the flair strip. with that being said no flaire strip is going to open their throat up and their air passage past the nose..... :) You need both if you have breathing issues - I prefer ventipulmin if you cant or wont use it buy equipulmin |

| I like both. When I use Flair Strips and EquiPulmin I feel like they come out of the arena less winded and like I had more horse left if I needed it. |

As a side note, if you have a tolerant horse you can really gross little kids out by “picking their nose” and sliding your finger into the false nostril. |

Location: the land of dust & sticks | Depends on what you need the product for, if you just need a bronchodilator or allergy cough relief the wind aid or air power may work. If the nostril is actually collapsing then you need a flair strip. I have one who bleeds so she’s on lasix but she was bleeding through it so added the flair strip and she hasn’t bled through lasix since to my knowledge and she’s been scoped a few times. |

Location: Illinois | I have a bleeder. I give him EquiPulmin, Lasix, Breathe EZ (topical), and a flair strip if I have one. I don't always have them. If it's a hot humid day I can't get them to stay on & it's peeled off by the time I even go to run. So I tend to use them seasonally. He's a roarer too which doesn't help his situation |

| I have a light bleeder and was told to run him on lasix. Per my vet I have been running him on 5cc of Dex and I add a flair strip if I have one. I personally like this mix better and I think he actually runs harder. That being said if it is super hot and or humid I will mainline lasix 3-4 hours out. |
