I was curious about the costs and fees that people who entered the Pink Buckle had. I have several PB eligible horses and want to have an idea of the costs both expected and unexpected that many of you encountered so I can start saving and be more prepared, if I'm able to go one day.  

Entry Fees, stalls, shavings,  parking,  and any other costs that you may have had along the way. Would love you hear some tips or advice you'd have for people thinking about going in the future.

I wouldn't worry so much about the fees at the PB as I would your horse's eligibility. To be eligible the your horse needs to have a $200 nom. Fee paid every year, including year born, otherwise , it's a $2000 one time fee. 

The lazy E is a nice place to stay at but it's about 15 miles (on a windy road) to the nearest motels and restaurants. If you're not staying on site, it's a little  unhandy .

I didnt go to pink buckle but i went to ruby buckle this year and the fees are the same.

Stalls I dont remember how much they cost but at Lazy E they came pre bedded.

Definitely bring a golf cart or rent one.

ETA- just my opinion but bring food to cook or eat concession food. It is a little bit of a drive (not bad) into Guthrie and we struck out on good food when we were there LOL. Everything else about the experience was wonderful.  I cant wait for next years ruby buckle and cant wait for the pink buckle once our oldest one thats eligible can run!

Thank to those who've replied. I dont have Eligibility questions. I have several horses I'm paying in. I was just hoping to be prepared for expenses surrounding the event itself. It's super helpful to know that motels and food are a little bit away. I've never been there so that's great information.

The layout of Lazy E is very big too, so even if you get an RV hookup you may have a decent drive/walk to get from point A to point B. Definitely look at the map when picking out stalls and RV. The actual facility is awesome. And they had stallion tours during RB and PB so that was a lot of fun. 10/10 the golf cart was worth the rental! 

I have not entered either event yet, my oldest PB is a coming 2yo. But I did attend the first Pink Buckle, and I have entered the rodeo there in past years. If you havent been there, it is quite a place. The arena itself is huge and all inclosed. There is ample space inside the holding areas so you wiill not feel crowded. There is a covered outdoor warmup pen. THe stalls for the most part are a LONG ways from the arena complex. THey have a long walking/riding path/track that winds down hill from the stall complex and then uphill again to the area complex. Be prepared for that as your horse will think you are doing a trail ride lol. If it is cold you might want to take a cooler/sheet over with you to cover them on the way back to stalls. If it is rainy the track will be muddy. THe ground has always been awesome when I was there. Running at the Lazy E is a bucket list thing, its that cool of a venue. You will be glad you did it.
