Location: Kaufman, Texas | I'm sad Troubled Memories died! That's my horses dad. My App is roany colored sorrel. Didn't know he was an App till I saw his papers. Love his personality and try. So sweet. Nothing scares him and he handles any ground great. I've always loved Apps. One around here when I was a kid, beat everyone |

Location: Paradise , tx | Love Apps, had one years ago, and have always regreted selling him. I'm not that big on paints, but I have a paint mare now. Bought her because of her personality, which at my age, is always the number one criteria when looking at a horse. But I love her, she fits me. |

Location: Eastern OH but my heart is in WV | I have not read all the responds but I honestly don't understand why any one would discard a horse just because it is an Appaloosa. The BEST horse, I EVER put a leg over was an Appy. 200% heart and try. He was never the fastest but he had so much grit and try that he never stopped giving his all in every single time. I still to this day compare every horse I ride to that one special horse. He was UGLY in the conformation/ looks department but I didn't care, he was beautiful in my eyes. My brother rode a good Appy too.
However, in the same aspect the hottest, most unleveled horse I have ever been around has been an Appy. He was one pretty horse but I give his rider so much credit. I would not judge the whole breed by that one horse.
I would NOT/ NEVER/ NO WAY pass up a good horse just because it has spots= |

Location: Centerville, TN | One of the best horses I ever owned was a App. He kept me on the road when my quarter horses wouldn't. There is nothing wrong with a App. That is him I'm on in my picture to the left. That run was made at 2:00 in the morning to put us in the USBA Finals in Mississippi. He is retired at 20 years old and would still be running today if it weren't for arthritis. He is one of the loves of my life. Good luck with yours and many long years of happy memories. |

Location: North Dakota | I don't have any bias against appy's. I've only ridden one so I can't really speak for the breed being stubborn as some believe...he was a little sh!t though...but I think they're BEAUTIFUL. I'd absolutely look at an appy. Paints too. Everything with white. The more white the better! |

Location: Somewhere between S@% stirrer and Saint | I bred appaloosa for 25 years. I started with a base that was race bred very well and built upon that. I have earned bronze medallions in racing as a race winner and breeder. My horses were J and B, J&B, and JNBS horses.
I am not a rider but loved breeding horses. |
