Nutrena Pro Force Fuel Feed

I spent time with Nutrena at the AQHA world show over the weekend. I've been feeding Safe Choice Original for years, but lately I'm not happy with the way my stud is looking on it. After talking at length with Nutrena and looking at pictures, I am making the switch to the Pro Force Fuel. It is a lower startch feed and I am excited to see the benefits. It will eliminate me feeding timothy pellets in the morning and safe choice in the evening. I will be taking before and after pictures. All my horses will be making the switch.

I would compare this to BlueBonnet Omega Force since this is basically what Nutrena is trying to market against, I know Pro Force has a higher feeding rate than the Omega Force so if BB is available in your area it may come out cheaper in the long run.

I've looked at it, but don't have interest in switching right now.

A friend of mine uses Pro Force and LOVES it. I have been thinking about switching but haven't done it yet.

Let us know how this works. Recommended feed rate for moderate work in 1000 lb horse is 7.5 to 10 pounds per day. At 20% nsc that is not low starch. It is the same as five pounds of a 40% NSC feed at a 5 pound rate. It will be interesting to see.
