He is almost 2 months old now.  He gets lighter everyday.  The color estimator gives me a very, very low percentage to be bay.

Momma is gray, Daddy is red roan.  His belly gets lighter every week.  So we have a bet at the house on who get first dibs on him.  I say gray, s/o says roan.

What do you think?

Gray. He has a grey ring around the muzzle.

Looks bay to me.  Possible bay roan.  I see nothing at this point that leads me to think gray. (Run your hand backwards over his back or hip and see if it is lighter ("roany" looking) under his foal coat. (Nice looking baby by the way.)

I agree with RacingQH.  I don't see the signs of gray and I'm not a roan expert.  But that's a VERY nice baby.

Very nice baby. I'm not sure on color either.

I vote bay roan. It seems like the ones the go grey have a chocolately color to them.

Thank you all!  He is pretty special to me.  I will check his hair when he lets me scratch him (he doesn't like scratches yet LOL).   He is a little bit of a rebel.  The mare is in the background and flea bit as you can see, she was black until her 4yo year, and then turned grey almost overnight.

I say gray also :) One possibility is that he'll roan at first & then gray with age, I've had a filly start out blue roan & turn gray.
