My mare has a very wide mouth.  I am using a 5 1/2" Jr Cow horse on her now but i would like to try other bits.  This even seems a bit narrow for her. I am not opposed to having something custom made but not sure what she needs.  Does anyone know of 5 1/2" (or larger) bits out there that work for a push style horse that only need a little lift at the barrel to turn? I dont need much on her (but i do need a little lift), very easy to ride.  I tried a hack, just to see how she reacted and she HATED it.  Thanks!

Reinsman had a line of Cindy Wright bits that they were making for a while that are designed with a much wider mouthpiece.  They weren't designed for wider mouthed horses specifically, but I can see how they would really work.  They have snaffles, draw bits, and gags as well.
The Tack Stop has them and several other sites do as well.

Dave Elliott is a custom bit maker, I had him make a 5 1/2 for me, any custom bit maker can make a bit to fit your needs

Lots of my bits are custom due to the fact so many bits seem to pinch. Your horse will thank you. Dave Elliot is a great maker.

I would love to have a custom bit made but i am not sure what i need on her yet.  i have only owned her about 6 months and have been limitied on what i have been able to try.  i looked at the Cindy Wright bits but not 100% sure that i am a fan of the chain mouthpeice for this horse.  Thus my dilemma.  i am hoping this weekend will give me some good feedback from felow racers and some ideas on "off the shelf" options i can try then order.

Cindy's bits come in twisted copper, smooth iron, and a chain.  The chain is actually a three piece though.  The big center section is solid like all of her bits.  The chain links are free moving on the sides, but connected in the center section.

You can get a draw bit, ring snaffle, or a gag in any of them.
