If your saddle is sliding back this bad then a saddle pad is not going to fix this problem, you need to look into how your saddle is fitting. Its the saddle fit not the pad.

If just your pad is sliding out the back and not your saddle, then your saddle is probably putting too much pressure in the front part of the bars. You could try shimming or using a thicker pad, but definitely check your saddle fit.

Its the saddle not the pad. My favorite is 5 Star but it won't fix a pad that slides back.

WE had people check the fitting of the saddle on my horse and they said it was perfect. hat all the pressure was even and rested on his back just fine!

If your pad is sliding don't use a fleece bottom but put a blanket first then the fleeced pad. If the saddle is slipping you need a thicker pad. I have a blanket and a pad is a good combination.

I have heard that Western Legend pads are good for not sliding back. I have a old one I like because it is thick, and a little stiff so it doesn't collapse in the dip behind the shoulders and its contoured so it doesn't put pressure on the withers. I am not crazy about how they look but seem like nice pads.

I agree with the others that if your saddle is sliding back, then there is something off with the fit.
I've used 5 Star pads for about 5 years now and I will never switch to anything else. I love them. Excellent quality.
