| I am currently looking for a Martin crown c barrel saddle for my horse, she is a 15.3 appendix, I was thinking I would need a 7.5 inch gullet for her. I tried a 7 inch on her and she had huge dry spots still, I was wondering if that half an inch would make that much of a difference!

I'd hate to waste all that money on a saddle you couldn't use. Are you close to any tack shops around that have a saddle fitting specialist on the payroll? |

Have you tried a 6 3/4" gullet? |

In my experience because of the angle of the bars the 7" was too narrow. I'm guessing that is why you see so many huge gullet size with the Martins, because of their bar angle. I second getting the horse fit. |

| I live in Alabama, so if there are places to fit her for a Martin I certainly don't know of it! Haha she just has really thick withers. So when I put a saddle on her and a feel underneath I feel like it's laying on her pretty well until I get to the withers, were I feel like it's a little tight...
Thank y'all so much for your input! |

I would call Martin and talk to them. They do have demo saddles, or you may be able to take pics with your saddle on and send it to them. |
