Are all of her saddles the same specs? I have an old Double J of hers and love it. But if I want another do I have to buy the double J pro? Or could I buy a reinsman of hers? If I have to go double J, are the Pozzis comparable?

I'm curious about this as well! I personally love the look of her new style of saddle. It almost reminds me of a cutting saddle.

Even though Double J doesn't make the Charmayne James saddle any more they do make the same saddle under a different name. I would give them a call.

I don't believe so, as there was a cactus record breaker, the scamper model, and I think one other.
I would try to buy used so I would get the same one

It's always been my understanding that all of Charmayne's saddles by Double J were built on the same Full Quarter Horse Bars tree and that tree has gone from company to company when she has moved from one saddle maker to the other. She had different styles but the trees were the same. I would make a call to Double J on Monday and ask them. We can sit here and second guess until the cows come home..LOL

I had a Double J CJ Record Breaker. Adored that saddle. I sold it because it didn't fit a new horse. Now I'd give anything to have it back. I also own Cactus CJ's. The Double J had a different tree and fit than the Cactus does. The Cactus Barrel Racer, Record Breaker and Scamper all have the same tree, just a different look. I wish I could find my old saddle.

This has been my thought too. Double J would still be making that saddle under a new name just like Cactus still makes the CJ but under a different name since they are no longer affiliated. I should call Double J too.

The Double J I just bought is called the Intimidator and that is what they call Charmayne's tree now. Is the same as the Double J Pro tree except for shorter bars in the back.

I did see how the Reinsman offers a regular and wide tree and I saw a Cactus that offered 2 different gullets.
