Expert Posts: 1631 Location: Somewhere around here	For those of you who have had a horse with the Tivio bloodline, have you noticed that they have more hoof problems or leg bone problems than the average horse?

We are looking for pics/info on him, mainly out of curosity. We bought this filly to be a buddy to a weanling filly. So far, we really like her temperament and she is cute.

	I wouldn't be concerned about Poco Tivio's soundness ... if you have Doc Bar in your horses pedigree that is more likely the source of crooked legs which equal feet problems ... Poco Tivio is a full brother to Poco Lena the dam to Doc Olena and Dry Dock .. Doc Bar and Poco Tivio were in California so this is the reason you see Poco Tivio mares crossed with Doc Bar so often ... I didn't see where you showed your horses entire pedigree ... do an allbreed link to see the whole picture ..

Expert Posts: 1631 Location: Somewhere around here	I was just curious about the bloodline and the hoof issues because I had a registered gelding quite some time ago that had bad hooves and navicular. I can't remember his registered name, something Tivio, and I remember that he had Poco Tivio on both sides I believe but it was too long ago for me to remember anything else on his papers. Sorry I can't really give more information but it was just a thought I had that was worth investigating thanks everyone for your input!

His father owned Poco Tivio and showed him for years before selling him. Randy has a treasure trove of pictures and loves to tell stories about him.
