Location: Bennett, CO | Wowza- What a steep learning curve!
I will start out by saying we have dealt with frozen semen from the livestock side... Bull, rams, horses and even elk! So this was a no-biggie for us.
We have a really nice Golden Retriever.. One of the top in the countyry- going into the Golden Retriever Hall of Fame for his field work (Field Trial & Hunt Tests) So- I located a CANINE semen facility, and had him collected. We have a breeding this week, and sent all the paperwork to have the shipment happen. It was nearly $700!!!!! Then I called the place where I have our livestock semen stored.... Found out that they also store dog semen.....and that it would have only cost $160 to ship to the same location in Texas!
Im floored... Moving our dog to the Bull semen tank!

Location: Duvall, WA | We use ICSB, International Canine Semen Bank. They were the first to freeze and use canine semen, are very good. It usually costs me about $350 to have dog collected and frozen at a dog show. Not sure how much the shipping cost you, but seems like you were charged a lot. Who did it? There aren't that many canine semen banks. |

Location: Duvall, WA | i guess the containers are expensive to ship. Yikes! I always freeze my stud dogs but have never used them myself, so not sure on shipping. Prices on fresh chilled via fedex seem to have gone down, tho, lately it has only been like $60, used to be more like $130. Not sure why. . . |

You get a big dog with a large rack that will track itself. And bugles during the rut!!!
