| I'm new to using the equi resp but just got a used one. I'm also giving 4ccs lasix to my guy now...can a person give albuterol or ventipulmin if giving lasix? I know I can ask my vet tomorr but wanted everyone's opinions on what works. Thanks. |

I've given ventipulmin with lasix. I give IV lasix 2 hours out and ventipulmin about 45 minutes before my run. |

| How my vet explained it to me, is you don't want to give lasix and Ventipulman together. Lasix LOWERS blood pressure and Ventipulman GREATLY increases it. But other vets may have different opinions. Ventipulman expands and dialates and can make some horses very amped up and jittery. |

| I nebulize an albuterol mixture with a steroid before I run. My horse is also given Lasix. |

The lady I bought this unit from included albuterol packets to go with it, but I wasn't too sure if I can lasix and give this too. So this helps! |

Yes, use the bullet of albuterol in the inhaler. That way you won't get the systemic effect of using the albuterol via the gel, PO. Most but not all will not get the gitters via inhalation as they do when given by mouth.
You can give the lasix with no problems that I know of in combination with the steriods and bronchodilator.
WetSaddleBlankets are you using Fluticosone? |

Hey. No. I am using a mixture I got from root and riddle for my horse's mast cell IAD. Its albuterol, budesonide, and cromolyn. |
