I've read the books and just started book 5. But can anyone tell me when the 6th one is supposed to come out? I thought I heard sometime this summer? But can't find any concrete date.

Not until at least 2015. The first chapter is up on George's website , tho.

I have read the books and love the series.

I just saw this on my facebook and thought it was pretty funny. Alternate ending to Sundays episode.

2015??!! Dang and here I was trying to read just a little bit at a time to drag the book out until the next was due. I want to know what happens to Cersei and Arya. So far in book 5 they aren't mentioned.

I've read all of the books and watching the series with my non-read husband. I am VERY proud of how well I keep my lips sealed. ;) I will say, they've done a decent job sticking to the story line. There have been a few things that were didn't happen in the books.... um...Brand in Crestor's camp? Not. I don't even know why it was put in, it made no difference or sense.

I'm surprised at how little they are showing of the dragons and their growth.

Even when I know what's happening next week, I'm still waiting for the next episode.

Oh, and the whole "I have the power!" displayed by Mr. Martin in regards to releasing books makes me ALMOST not want to read the next ones.

There's some debate about which will come first, the tv show or the book.

If you watch the credits, it lists GRR Martin as having written it for the screen. This is the only reason I am ok with any changes they make - we are obviously seeing the stories how he wants them seen.

The next episode (or what I think will be the next episode) is one of my favorite parts of the entire series.

I do believe the Tyrion episode will be the last episode which happens to be on Fathers Day & I don't think that's a coincidence.

I haven't read the books, but absolutely love the show. Regarding Ramsey: although he is a horrible cretin in this show, he was also in a show called Misfits, where I totally fell in love with his character, so it kinda makes it hard for me to totally hate him here. =/
Maybe I'm a little cray cray too for that! lol
But that is a great show also if anybody wants to check it out. At least the first 4 or 5 seasons I think, until they start changing most of the best characters.
