| I got a new blingy belt for Christmas last year and it is too big for me now. Anybody ever had one shortened? I am just wondering if with the bling, it can be done and still look ok? It's too expensive of a belt to just throw in the back of the closet :( |

which end did they shorten from? the holes or the other end? it's hair on hide with stones. |

Location: Tulsa, Ok | Mine were shortened from the buckle end. They were both hair on hide with stones, but the bling was pretty much uniform from one end to the other. I envision that if it was a belt with big stonedsthat were supposed to set at certain places on your body, shortening would make them off. I took mine to my go to saddle shop and they told me what the could do and how much they could be shortened. Only took them a few minutes to shorten them. |

Location: Riding Crackhead. | I sold a bunch of expensive BB Simon and Kippy belts after my weight loss. I added more holes but it got so big it looked stupid so I got rid of them and bought new ones. |

| you can't punch more holes because there are stones. plus the tail end is already so long I have to use a hair tie to keep it from flapping all over the place.
I was just curious. I assume some stones would need to just come off, that's fine. I'd just like the belt to be shorter. |

| A leather shop can shorten your belt from the buckle end. The only reason I think it might look bad is if there is something that is supposed to be centered in the back. Otherwise, I think doing it this way is a better option than a hole punch because you won't have all of the extra tail length. |

I used a leather punch to make a Kippy belt smaller. Works great. |
