Location: Canada | This isn’t exactly the right place to ask, but I’m thinking more of you will see this here than in the help wanted forum…just putting the word out in hopes of finding a great situation where I can work with horses and continue my studies online! I’m a 28 year old single woman (besides the horse and dog!) and happy to relocate (currently living in Canada.) Good rider, experienced working with young and unstarted horses and putting on the miles. Worked alongside a reining trainer and learned how to put “handle” on the 2 and 3 yr old prospects (most of them were stud colts.) Other horse experience includes Thoroughbred/ Standardbred groom (yearling sales prep,) galloper/ outrider for a chuckwagon racing team, riding instructor and horse feed sales rep. I work well with the public if you were to need help in that area too. I barrel race and currently ride my 2 year old futurity prospect. She is by far the nicest filly I have ever owned, lots of high hopes for this one! Open to any kind of arrangements, I am looking for something longer term if at all possible. Fit, friendly and a good housekeeper too. Feel free to PM me if you are at all interested (advice would be appreciated too)
THANKS! |

Location: Feeding those that need me | Please get ahold of Jackie Whitcher on FB...or PM and I can send you her number. She has trained a lot of pro rodeo horses, and several that have gone to the NFR. She is offering an internship with bills paid, board, and room for one horse and she is one of the best to learn from! It sounds ideal and you can bring your horse and dog. There is not a better person to learn from, imo. |

Location: Canada | THANK YOU SO MUCH BHW! I knew I could count on you and be lead in the right direction! Your feedback has been more than helpful (and encouraging!) and would like to add that I would definately be willing to work part time at a horse farm etc in exchange for room and board, if I could either find part time work in the area. Bottom line, is I have life's regular bills to pay like phone, internet, fuel, school fees, horse feed etc (but I'm not in debt.) If I was allowed to use the horse farm to either teach riding lessons or take in a couple horses to train then that could work. I don't need to be rich, but a girl's gotta eat. My post is a little vague, I know, but I don't want to miss out on an awesome opportunity, something I never even thought of! |
